Jewellery care

Keep its quiet glow.

Natural stones, pearls, shells, and hand-finished details respond best to gentle wear. A few considered habits will help preserve their character.

Last updated 18 September 2026

Care can vary by material. Follow any product-specific guidance supplied with your piece and ask SIRESSA before using a cleaner or polishing product.

Wear gently

Put jewellery on after perfume, skincare, makeup, and hairspray have dried. Remove it before bathing, swimming, sleeping, exercise, or household work.

Avoid pulling, bending, dropping, or placing heavy objects on delicate strands, settings, and charms.

Water, heat, and chemicals

Keep your piece away from salt water, chlorinated water, detergents, sanitiser, perfume, and other chemicals. Prolonged moisture can affect natural materials, stringing, adhesives, and metal finishes.

Avoid strong sunlight, sudden temperature changes, and high heat. Pearls and shells can be especially sensitive.

Cleaning

After wear, wipe gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not soak the piece or use ultrasonic cleaners, steam, abrasives, toothpaste, or household jewellery dips unless SIRESSA confirms they are suitable.

For detailed cleaning or repair advice, identify the piece and its materials before treatment.

Storage

Store each piece separately in a dry pouch or lined box to reduce scratching and tangling. Fasten chains before storing them and keep heavier pieces away from delicate surfaces.

Allow jewellery to dry fully before putting it away. Avoid humid bathrooms and direct sunlight.

Natural character

Small differences in tone, pattern, texture, and form are inherent to natural materials. With wear, metal finishes may mellow and surfaces may develop a personal patina.
